Transfer of Credit to Concorde

Effective: 07/07/2025

This policy change is effective July 7, 2025 for students who enroll into a program starting in September 2025 and beyond.

Students who formerly attended a postsecondary institution accredited by an agency as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education may be granted transfer credit for equivalent courses taken at the previous institution. Concorde does not make any representation or guarantee that coursework completed at another institution will be transferred to Concorde. Concorde will consider alternative learning assessments (CLEP and AP); however, under no circumstances does Concorde Career College grant academic credit for life experience. In any case where this document conflicts with the campus catalog, the campus catalog will supersede this document.

Granting credit for previous training shall not impact the refund policy. This section does not apply to students withdrawn from the same Concorde campus regardless of withdrawal date. Students who receive transfer credit will have the program tuition charge prorated based upon the remaining number of credits the student must earn in order to graduate. The Business Office will make the appropriate tuition adjustment.

All requests for transfer credit will be reviewed when the following documents are provided:

  • Students must submit a Request for Transfer Credit as soon as possible after being enrolled at Concorde and no less than 72 hours prior to the course starting.
  • An official copy of the student’s transcript is on file with Concorde.
  • A copy of the catalog containing the course description, which the student enrolled under.
  • For CLEP exams: An official copy of the student’s CLEP transcript (score report) is on file with Concorde.
  • AP: The official College Board Assessment is submitted or on file with Concorde.
  • Requests without supporting documentation may be denied.
  • Consideration of alternative documentation may be made by the Corporate Academic Affairs team for extenuating circumstances.
