NRSG1351 : Introduction to Professional Nursing

This course provides a historical overview of nursing along with the complexity of the role of the professional nurse as a provider of patient centered care. The multiple responsibilities of the professional nurse from the conceptual role as a member of the health care team, to patient safety advocate, advocate of the ethical and legal aspects involved in the nursing care of the patients, coordinator of care and member of a profession is also covered. Introduction to the NCLEX-RN Test Plan and its importance to RN licensure is also covered.
